INGREDIENTS:
- Large breadfruit - 1/2
- Coconut - 2 tablespoon
- Oil - 1/2 tablespoon
- Urad dhal-1 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - few
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 1 pod
- Salt to taste
- Water - as required
PREPARATION:
- Wash and cut the bread fruit into half.
- Remove the skin and slice and chop them into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add urad dhal, curry leaves.
- Add the bread fruit pieces. Add salt and mix well.
- Cook in medium flame sprinkling water as needed.
- When the vegetable is cooked, add turmeric powder, cumin powder, chopped garlic and chili powder and mix well.
- Then add the grated coconut and mix well. Cook in low flame until the spices blend with the bread fruit.
