Ridge Gourd Chutney recipe


INGREDIENTS:
  • Skin of 2 ridge gourds
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • White sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Shallot - 1
  • Garlic - 1 pod
  • Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chili-1
PREPARATION:
  1. Wash and peel the skin of 2 ridge gourd.
  2. Pour oil in a hot pan. Drop the peeled skin and mix well.
  3. Add shallot and garlic and saute. Add cumin seeds. Mix well. 
  4. Add  grated coconut and mix well.
  5. Add sesame seeds and saute for a minute.
    Remove from flame.
  6. Grind adding salt to taste in a mixer or blender.
  7. Pour in a bowl. Goes well with dosa, idly.
