Rice Flour Vada recipe


INGREDIENTS:
  • Raw rice flour - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1/2
  • Ginger - a small piece
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Cilantro (coriander leaves) - 1/2 cup (chopped)
  • Green chili - 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Oil - 3/4 cup
PREPARATION:
  1. Chop the onions, ginger, green chilies, curry leaves and cilantro finely.
  2. Take rice flour in a bowl. Drop the chopped onions, ginger, green chilies, curry leaves and cilantro.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Add salt to taste. Add little more water so that the flour binds together. Knead the flour and make a ball.
  4. Make small round balls and flatten them.
  5. Pour oil in a hot pan. When the oil is heated, drop in the flattened vadas.
  6. Fry turning the sides until they become golden brown.
  7. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel.
